Katharos Love offers hope, love, consistency, security and the promise of God's enduring love. The team believes that every child is a gift from God and it's our heart's desire that these children know that we are faithfully committed to helping them have everything they need to fulfill their God-given destiny. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

We have created a scholarship program for High School students and young adults.  When children in Ghana reach High School age, it's very expensive to continue their education, and most families and orphanages will either keep them home to care for the younger children or put them out to fend for themselves.  It's like "aging out" of the foster care system in the U.S., except that there is no government assistance available to them.  It's truly heartbreaking. We believe God is calling us to help these young adults by providing them with educational opportunities and Christian discipleship. .

Katharos Love began accepting scholarship applications in early 2023 and Lisa had the opportunity to interview most of our applicants in person during a trip to Ghana in May 2023. Two things really stood out:

1. How hard-working and committed the applicants are to make a better life for themselves, and
2. How affordable it is to send young adults to school in Ghana and break the cycle of poverty.
